This new-build, 12-storey block accommodates 406 student rooms, kitchens, a recreation area, common room, open courtyard, cycle store, plant rooms and ground-floor retail units.

Replacing a demolished 1960s block, we established foundations on an uncontaminated, level site over sleech with 18-20m deep piles with site-specific pilecaps located to work around existing piling.

Structure is a reinforced concrete frame, with transfer beams located generally above ground floor retail space. Slab edges were modified to facilitate copper and zinc rainscreen cladding and specific glazing detailing.

Winner of ‘ Commercial Development of the Year 2019’ at the Belfast Telegraph Property Awards.
