Bradley’s Pass, Derry-Londonderry


This social housing development consists of 76 new dwellings including apartments, 2- and 3-floor dwellings and complex needs units.

Units are either founded on traditional strip foundations on trench fill concrete or pre-cast driven piles with reinforced concrete pile caps and ground-beams. Ground floors are constructed using pre-cast concrete floor units.

The civil engineering design included a new access road from a busy main road and the new road layout within the site to meet statutory requirements. A full drainage design was produced to the approval of NI Water including liaison with DARD Rivers Agency. Existing 750mm storm and 300mm foul sewers traversed the site at a depth in excess of 6m and had to be diverted to allow for construction.
