Platers Hill, Coalisland
New build three storey apartment block comprising 18 housing units in total with on-site parking and landscaped areas.
Sloping former police barracks site. Proposed levels higher than existing along the north eastern boundary, requiring the need for retaining structure. This consisted of RC retaining walls, concrete filled masonry core walls and solid masonry core walls, depending on the retained height.
The building superstructure is of load bearing masonry construction. Floors comprise of precast concrete hollow-core units spanning onto masonry walls. All internal partition walls built off the precast ground floor units are constructed in block and are non-load bearing. Lateral stability is provided by masonry cross walls.
