Lagan Valley Hospital Theatres

 

A 2-storey hospital extension provided two additional operating theatres with ancillary accommodation and recovery beds.

The state-of-the-art facilities include the Swedish Maquet modular system, which offered a gold standard in operating theatres through the creation of complete, sealed units. The steel walls incorporate the anti-bacterial qualities of silver to inhibit bacteria.

The modular system was chosen as a future-proofing concept allowing facilities to embrace current technological developments while providing excellent functionality, flexibility and efficiency. (Images courtesy of Michael Cooper)
