10-storey, 190-bedroom hotel plus13 storey-apartment block with double-storey basement car park for 300
TAYLOR+BOYD were responsible for the Civil and Structural Engineering design. The main superstructure comprises a reinforced concrete flat slab, shear wall and column frame. An additional 3-storey steel frame projects from the hotel entrance providing extensive conference and banqueting facilities. Steel cell beams are adopted to achieve the longer clear spans required in these spaces and facilitate easier service integration within the modest ceiling void.
