Hazelbank Park, Newtownabbey

This civil engineering project included landscape design for an area that was being developed in a steeply sloping public park overlooking Belfast Lough. It incorporated new asphalt footpaths, communal paved areas, a large concert area and parking.

The civil engineering design involved close working relationship with Landscape Architect and main contractor during the construction process: to adjust footpaths to suit levels without the need for retaining walls; to maintain existing planted areas; and to ensure that the park remained open throughout construction.
