Blanchardstown Hotel & Apartments

 

The scheme comprises a 10-storey, 190-bedroom hotel and 13-storey apartment superstructure incorporating 96 apartments. A double-storey basement car park was also provided to hold 300 cars.

Taylor & Boyd was responsible for the Civil and Structural engineering design. The main superstructure comprises a reinforced concrete flat slab, shear wall and column frame. An additional 3-storey steel frame projects from the hotel entrance providing extensive conference and banqueting facilities. Steel cell beams are adopted to achieve the longer clear spans required in these spaces and facilitate easier service integration within the modest ceiling void.
