Huhtamaki Storage

 

Huhtamaki needed more storage on their existing site near Lurgan.  Two steel-framed, clad buildings with pass doors, each with a purpose built racking system, were constructed and linked to existing production facilities.  Due to proximity of the existing factory and concerns regarding fire the new buildings were to be protected by sprinklers and have fire protection to their gables.

Both are 22m x 39m x 10m clear to eaves for high racking. They were constructed in two phases. The project involved designing retaining walls, approach slab, dock-level pod and drainage.
