Magheracross Viewing Platform

The project created two new state of the art, fully accessible, viewing platforms extending out to the edge of the cliffs, maximising the views of Whiterocks Beach to the West and Dunluce Castle to the East.

Both viewing platforms provide panoramic vantage points which will increase viewing opportunities and engagement with the stunning landscape.

The northwest platform is a cantilevered structural steel platform and bridge with stainless steel vertical fin balustrades.

The steel platform is supported on piled foundations to transfer the loads to the bedrock below.

The northeast platform is ground supported reinforced concrete platform and also has stainless steel fin balustrades.

The works also included the construction of new pathways, new parking facilities with associated drainage, soft landscaping, street furniture and signage.
