Mountpleasant House
This project involved the refurbishment of a listed building, including new floors, roof, wall dry lining, windows, window heads, services and decoration
The Works consisted of a full condition survey of the remaining stone walls and structure which were in a poor state of repair following a fire. Temporary propping was provided to maintain stability until the necessary approvals for refurbishment were obtained.
In the final scheme, partial demolition of the tops of the walls was required along with replacement of all floors. A new concrete floor was provided to the basement where the original retaining walls had been undermined for additional headroom.
Other works include the construction of a new ‘Gate Lodge’, a one-and-a-half-storey, 3-bedroom domestic building, fully serviced. (Images courtesy of Glenmayne Ltd)
