Thomas Davis GAC

This project created a purpose-built Clubhouse and Community building with associated infrastructure, serving Thomas Davis GAC just outside Newry.  The new centre offers the local community an inclusive, accessible and versatile space to come together.

The two storey plus attic structure is steel framed, with precast concrete floors, supported on piled foundations. Balconies overlook the sports pitches.

Siteworks included widening the passing road, Doran’s Hill, extending a culvert taking a river beneath the road, realigning the river and introducing vehicle barriers.  Two new car parks and internal circulation routes were constructed, and a private sewage treatment plant was constructed on the site.

The complex is designed for future extensions.
